What’s the next pretty topic for discussion? Americana décor and dress (of course). This red, white and blue-inspired trend is becoming increasingly popular, and not just for the 4th of July. Americana is the perfect theme for any summer party, and Snappening has collected some ideas to incorporate it into you even from décor to dress.
Americana Décor
There are a lot of American-inspired party decorations available this time of year due to the 4th of July. So, if you think you might like to have an Americana summer party or birthday party any time this year, it would be a good idea to gather décor now, save yourself a lot of money. One of the best things about an Americana theme is that you can pair it with other things. If you’re into traditional décor and lace, you could have a vintage Americana event. It’s a simple look, but it’s classic and elegant. You may also consider a dual theme like Americana and nautical. The red, white, blue, sailboats, anchors, ropes and other sea-inspired décor elements coordinate really well together to create a one-of-a-kind look for your party or event.
Americana Fashion
You don’t have to stop at decorating the venue Americana style. Go a step further and incorporate it into your event outfit. Depending on the type of event you’re having, you can try different fashion trends. If you’re having a fun, silly party you can get decked out in the most American gear you can find. However, if you’re hosting a more serious or subtle event, there are many ways that you can capture Americana in your style without it being overwhelming. Try mixing and matching reds, blues, stripes or polka dots. You can create a comfy and cute look or an elegant and chic look in no time. It doesn’t have to be anything extreme. In fact, a white dress with a simple red or blue cardigan and matching heels will give off just as much of an Americana vibe. Remember, it’s your party and “you can wear what you want to…wear what you want to!”
Finding a Theme
Maybe you want to host a themed event, but don’t know where to find the right design. As a starting point, think of your favorite things. It sounds simple, but you can create a theme out of anything. When you have an idea, do an internet search and check Pinterest to brainstorm or visit your local party store. Also, once you have selected your event location, it will most likely be easier to plan around that particular space so check out some of the local venues, or find a professional event planner in the area to help take some of the stress of planning that perfectly pretty Indy party off your shoulders.
